Thursday Focus Day

Where does the time go? It's August and I realized that I   have not posted anything since July, but in my head it seems like its only been a few days. So much is going on and I am happy to report that it's all good stuff!
My mom is here in Kona now!!!! Look at how beautiful she is looking at 59 years young...

Now I just need my brother to come out and we are all set! In due time he will be here and I just know that he will love it.

Oh my goodness I know that my thoughts are all over the place but while it's on my mind I have to say it.....Kennedy has been completely no fear of the ocean and I must say that I am very impressed. The other day she said ok I am ready to surf! She asked one of our friends "Dave will you please paddle out with me and show me what to do" 15 minutes later I see Kenni riding a wave in and in all the excitement of seeing my child actually standing up and riding a wave in I did not have time to grab the camera for photographic evidence. I did however get and after shot of the lil cuttie...

Well I am off to work to make some fun and funky things for the street fair at the end of the month. Stay tuned for photos. Mahalo

July Already

I swear we just got here and already it's July! Before I know it, its time to start school. Wow...Kenni and I have been Living la Vida Loca for sure and we are feeling fortunate. Let's see the latest and greatest was YESTERDAY...parasailing and amazing luau! Things are starting to settle down and shift into place and feel like home. I must admit we are definately missing our Colorado family like mad but know it's on;y a matter of time before they come out! I wanted to share a few a photos of yesterday to sum up the fun so please enjoy. Stay tunned in because I get to put on my artsy fartsy hat next week and craft up a storm! Charlie and Sandy are heading to the mainland so Kenni and I will be house sitting and painting cocnuts and sewing and swimming until our hearts content!

Monday Monday

I started my 5 AM love affair with running this morning and couldn't be happier. I have less than 40 days until Kenni and I embark on our adventure. I want to be healthy and somewhat fit...hell lets not start off with lies. I WANT TO LOOK GOOD IN MY SUIT ON THE BEACH!!!!!

Lastnight I could see the excitement in Kenni's face and I couldn't be happier. Cheers to the new week and all that it brings and the hopes of turning my new affair into and obsession!

I had so much fun getting dressed up to support such a good cause. Listening to some of the stories the ladies shared were absolutely heartbreaking and made me look inward as to what I could do the help the cause further. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful support system of amazing strong, independent women. We have been through so much and have lifted each others spirits in good times and in bad....We are family and I am thankful!

So it's monday and there is so much to accomplish...uggg! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, I mean week thank goodness. I am going to the Dress For Success fashion show...yeah me! Can't really shake a stick at an even with good friends, good food for a good cause.

Kenni says to me today...mom, I had a great day at school I am "Fact Master" incase you were wondering and lacrosse practice was tons of fun! By the way Katie is bringing cheese for everyone at practice on Wednesday to celebrate her birthday. That's right mom you heard me Katie is cutting the cheese at practice.

So I'm moving and stepping out of my comfort zone to experience life....SCARY! I can't remember the last time I did something for the first time. I am comfortable and safe here and think it's about time that I step to the edge and feel that feeling. You know that feeling of your heart thumping and your palms sweating and your mind thinking what the hell happends next. Then you take a deep breath and come to terms with whatever is holding you back from taking that next step and make the decision to let it go and move past it so you can move forward. The decision to stop letting the past affect your future...this is what I want!

I think it will not only make me a better person but a better mom as well.

My goal for the day is to focus on the things I have control over and let everything else roll with the tide. Sometimes you have to give up a little control and let other people swim on their own. No worries I'll dive in if needed I can't just watch them drawn!
